I am using AVPlayer for playing video url coming from server in TVOS SDK . For getting meta data of video I swipe down in video player screen . In metadata screen there are two buttons Info and Audio out of them click on Info button subtitles. After that clicking on Menu button of Apple TV remote I quit the player screen but audio is still playing in the background .

Remember, tvOS apps are like iOS apps, they remain active when in the background. Your AVPlayer is acting like a music player and continuing to play the stream. You'd need to stop, or pause, it before switching windows. If that doesn't help, you can force quit the app.

exp the same with the my tune radio app so I started it again and stopped the playing and all was well once again.
I just reread your initial post, and I wonder, do you expect audio to be silent because you selected subtitles? That's not the way it works; subtitles just adds them to the screen, similar to closed captioning in regular TV.
I need to know which delegate method is called when we clicked info metadata Subtiltle using remote or trackpad , so that we can send notifications accordingly to other screen when menu button is clicked and stop the player accordingly.
